Lucky O' Shamrock Smoothie
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with this delicious and nutritious green smoothie! Packed with fresh ingredients and naturally sweetened, this vibrant drink is perfect for breakfast or a refreshing afternoon treat.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
- 1 ripe banana (frozen works great!)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional, for a minty twist)
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare your ingredients: Wash the spinach thoroughly and peel the banana if using fresh.
- Blend the greens first: Add spinach and almond milk to your blender. Blend until the spinach is completely broken down and smooth.
- Add remaining ingredients: Add the banana, Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, peppermint extract (if using), and ice cubes.
- Blend until smooth: Blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds until creamy and smooth.
- Serve immediately: Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves and a festive green sugar rim if desired!
